Gulshan Society is a community organization formed by the residential inhabitants of a pristine location called Gulshan Model town in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh. The Society, formed in 2002 with 51 distinguished persons of the nation, has been rendering advocacy, coordination and leadership to its primary constituency in their matters related to property, habitat and livability for a privileged segment of citizens owning residential property in this decorated neighborhood. Its members have mingled to develop fellowship among themselves through various social, cultural and advocacy activities under its glorious auspices with inclusion. The mandate and purpose of this society is to pursue continuous improvement of Gulshan where its inhabitants can live in peace with security, tranquility and fraternity
Achievements and Failures Since its establishment, the Society has been involved in multifarious activities: these include creating civic awareness among residents and visitors, seeking assistance of concerned public agencies in controlling violations of civic laws, pressuring the service delivery organizations to do their mandated duties and managing and implementing projects with financial assistance from generous donors.
The name of the Society is GULSHAN SOCIETY. It is a non-profitable and non-political voluntary organization.

The Society is registered under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860 vide registration no. S-2780(193)/2002
The territorial limit of this Society will cover Gulshan Model Town of RAJUK and shall include man made as well as natural lakes and water bodies around it
